Maxtech has been a leader of innovative design and technology since it's inception in 1977. Called 'a symbol of immigrant entrepreneurial spirit and innovation' by the media in 2009, the company continues to grow with a focus on consumer products, mainly tools and accessories. In the last 2 decades, Maxtech and it's employees have been recognized with several honours, including many years on the Financial Post's 50 Best Companies list; and Wilfrid Laurier University's Outstanding Leader Award for founder Kacee Vasudeva (1998). We hold over 100 design and utility patents in our hand tools and power tool accessories, as well as for our unique packaging designs. We continue to develop new products and brands as we grow. Humble beginnings, starting with one sku (a Hacksaw) with one retailer! 1989 - Revolutionizes tool POP for retail, the transparent cover is born 1990 - Improved grip design and tool holder commences, designs patented 1992 - Ultra-Grip® trademark and products are born 1994 - First modular panel system for consumer tool cases, importing flexibility Unique hex key line with folding holder, contractor duty handles are born 1995 - Revolutionary stages begin, adding bottom storage to POP tool case 1996 - Full release of contractor duty (Contractor-Pro®) products, hex keys etc Successful transparent cover expanded to tool gift cases 1997 - Tool POP further revolutionized, multi-component storage, tray tilting Contractor program expands to striking tools, reversing driver developed Hex key line expands, non-slip hex keys, removing stop case invented 1998 - Safer striking tool developed, patented (protects user from errant blows) Superior case with split panels, ultimate import flexibility developed 1999 - Maxtech develops full program for Screwdrivers - utilizing storage components to high piece count sets 2000 - Full Load-N-Drive® program created utilizing the patented Quick-Connect® 2001 - Leading spade bit development commences, release Drill-Mate® program 2002 - Easy Access™ tool system , Product Holder w/ security, Fastest Lock Installation 2003 - Rotary Quick Connect chuck, Rotary Workstation developed (Vise capable) 2004 - Full line of rotary tools and accessories, Quick-Connect system, introduced to market 2005 - Grab-N-Go® tool accessory storage system, wrench storage systems 2006 - Full Hole Saw program (Quick-Connect, Slug Ejecting), Torque Wrench™, Precision S/D’s implemented at some of Canada's largest retailers 2007 - Combo-driver (precision/standard), Pocket Pax™ accessory storage, Ulti-Multi 2008 - Introduced new Utility and Clamping Tables to the North American Market 2009 - MCPL moves to new location in Waterloo (602 Colby Dr).
